The Rural & Commercial Law Experts
At Gallie Miles we like to think we do things a little differently to other law firms.
Central to this are our core values which we aim to live by every day.
Our core values are not just meaningless corporate “mumbo jumbo”. We go out of our way to explain our core values to our clients and are accountable to our clients if we fall short of those values. We believe that by living our core values we provide our clients with an experience that sets us apart from other firms.
We are a specialist rural and commercial law firm. Our staff provide expert advice to our rural and commercial clients. We also have a dedicated team dealing in residential conveyancing. Our team are at the forefront of the legal issues which are relevant to our clients. Please have a look at our blogs and let us know what you think.
CHANGES TO THE RMA
On 1 March 2015 amendments to the Resource Management Act 1991 came into force.
One of the most significant changes is that Council is now required to reject an incomplete application for a resource consent. Previously the Council had discretion to accept the application and ask the applicant to provide more information. The time within which the Council must process an application have also changed.
If you are applying for a resource consent, it’s important to get good advice at the outset. To discuss resource management issues, contact Sue Garmonsway.
