Responsive Rachael

Recently promoted to Associate Legal Executive, Rachael Tyler has been working in law ever since leaving school. Born and bred in the Waikato, she’s built a reputation for her attention to detail and being responsive to client needs. Here we get to know her a little better.

Growing up on a Waikato dairy farm, Rachael Tyler didn’t always imagine a career in law. Wanting to leave school as a teenager, it was more about finding a job somewhere in town.

“I hated school, so my mum said I could leave if I got a job. I found one as an office junior so that was that,” she says.

“My interest in law grew from there and I completed my Legal Executive papers and moved up the ranks.”

She has lived in Te Awamutu for most of her life, raising her two children here and being an active member of the community.

“I lived in Whitianga for two years but other than that I have been here the rest of my life, raising both of my children here (now aged 17 and 20),” she says.

“I’ve actively been involved in my children’s dance, junior rugby, netball and lacrosse over the years. All our friends and family are in Te Awamutu and it’s a great community.”

She joined the Gallie Miles team in 2015 and splits her time between the Te Awamutu and Otorohanga offices.

Working predominantly in property conveyancing, she also assists clients with asset protection matters.

“I love to help clients with purchasing properties, but also enjoy the rural work and the subdivision work,” she says.

“I like having happy clients and the feeling of a job well done.”

Gallie Miles Director Alex McIvor says Rachael has helped guide countless clients towards achieving their goals.

“Rachael is well known for her exceptional eye for detail and an honest, helpful and responsive manner. She has a great sense of humour and is always up for a laugh”

“She has worked and always works incredibly hard and her recent promotion to Associate is a testament to her effort to go the extra mile for our clients and also acknowledges her willingness to step into more of a leadership role within the firm”.
