Valerie Mackay is a Director of Gallie Miles and has been practising law in Te Awamutu for over 28 years. Valerie has expertise in residential, rural and commercial property transactions, business advice, subdivisions, trusts, asset protection and estate planning. We sat down with Valerie and asked her a few usual and less-than- usual questions:
What do you enjoy about the area of commercial and property law?
Coming up with solutions for clients that add value, and considering options for example subdivisions, that achieve their goals.
What was your favourite TV show when growing up?
That would have to be Lassie.
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
I tidy wardrobes and drawers, not just my own!
Which way does your toilet paper hand on the wall – over or under?
Definitely over.
Who are you a closet fan of?
Bee Gees .
What was your childhood nickname?
Valerie Jane from Cassin Lane.
What are three things still left on your bucket list?
Skydiving, zip lining, and living in Spain, France or Italy for a while.
What is your favourite flavour of chips?
BBQ chicken is my all time favourite.
If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
It would be very handy to have a magic wand!
What is the worst pet you ever had?
That would have to be a rooster named “chickity chick” that came home with our eldest son after his new entrance class hatched it at school.
